The legendary Ivan's TRE (Timing
Retard Eliminator) is available from GSXRzone.
The trick part is a simple
plug-in that vastly improves driveability in the lower gears,
and on the later top speed restricted models, the TRE removes
the restriction.
How does it work? Your bike's
ECU (computer) changes the ignition advance depending on what
gear you are in. The best advancer for all around driveability
is the one in 5th gear. The TRE tricks the ECU into thinking
it is in 5th gear all the time. Same for the speed restrictor.
The computer kicks in a rev limiter in 6th gear to restrict speed.
Again, with the TRE the computer never knows it's in 6th gear.
The TRE does not increase horsepower
as measured on a dyno. The TRE may violate federal emission controls,
and is for "off road" use only!

GPS PRO is a Plug-N-Play gear position controller which acts
as a Smart TRE...it will disable the top speed limiter, enable
full timing in all gears, and will transmit neutral to the ECU
to allow the newer bikes to idle correctly. The GPS PRO also
has an optically isolated output to the ECU in order to protect
the ECU from any unwanted interference or a short in the main
harness. It comes complete with factory waterproof connectors
for an easy installation, just unplug the factory sensor and
plug in the GPS PRO inline and you are done! Keep in mind, if
your bike is equipped with a gear position indicator from the
factory, it will now read 5-0-5-5-5-5-5, instead of 1-0-2-3-4-5-6.
