APE is a leading supplier of high performance and racing valves for motorcycles. APE stainless steel valves are precision manufactured from aircraft quality Inconel based stainless steel. This special material offers excellent resistance to heat and distortion. APE stainless steel valves are designed to be used in the most extreme racing applications including the use of exotic fuels, or will give many miles of trouble free street use. They present an outstanding value. In most cases you can upgrade to APE stainless steel valves for less than the cost of replacement stock valves. All stainless steel valves feature hard chrome stems for extra long stem to guide life.

TITANIUM VALVE SPRING RETAINERS -
	APE valve spring retainers are machined from aircraft quality titanium bar stock in the APE plant on the latest state of the art computerized CNC machinery.CNC machining allows us to offer such advantages as bored taper keeper holes for exact keeper fit. Special gauging fixtures allow dimensions to be held close to provide exact installed heights when assembling the cylinder head. APE titanium retainers are shorter than stock to provide additional retainer to valve guide clearance for high lift cams. APE is the only manufacturer of motorcycle retainers that also builds cylinder heads. We know how they have to fit, how they have to clear the bucket, etc. No other manufacturer can offer this expertise. You might think this extra precision is expensive.The fact that we are the manufacturer allows us to provide these super precision retainers at a price everyone can afford. HEAVY-DUTY VALVE SPRINGS -
	World famous APE valve springs are made from premium chrome silicone wire for consistant pressure and excellent fatigue life. Racers as well as street riders have come to depend on APE springs for winning performance. For use with any high lift cam and / or agressive camshaft profile.

VS1000S - High performance Valve Springs - Suzuki GSXR1000 These springs have been specifically designed for the GSXR1000 and will correctly fit either APE titanium retainers or oem retainers. The pressures are set up for the GSXR valves so that there is not unnecessary excessive load. GSXR1000 valves weigh less than 2/3 of a Busa valve, so it is not necessary to run Busa type pressures to control the valves in racing applications. Excessive spring pressures are a power robber. As the chart shows, there is plenty of room to shim the APE spring for more pressure.
